All good things they say must come to an end. Ghana Most Beautiful 2021 came to an end on 3rd October 2021. In a game of survival, there is always a winner. A competition that started with 16 contestants from the 16 regions of Ghana ended with Sarfoa from the Ashanti Region emerging as the winner, Setor from the Volta—1st runner up and Manu who represented the Western Region was the 2nd runner up.
GMB 2021 was highly competitive. Manu was too exciting to watch. She raised the bar with her performances. Her confidence on stage, energy, chemistry, passion, craft, acting, delivery and articulations were always on point. She demonstrated lots of class and consistency throughout the competition. She was described by many as very entertaining. She won two-star performers and the best designer awards.
Juliana Akosua Afful, with the stage name Manu who represented the Western Region in the competition, hails from Asankran Breman in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality, with Asankrangwa as its Municipal Capital.
Manu garnered massive support from Breman and its environs. From door to door to radio campaigns, they managed to make her reach that milestone. One must not forget the source of their blessings and Manu has demonstrated that by returning home to show appreciation. Manu was welcomed to Breman for her “Homecoming and Thanksgiving tour” in grand style. Manu stepped out of her car to see cultural dancers and joined them with her cultural dancing skills.
Nananom of Breman Traditional Area, Asankrangwa Traditional Area, Chiefs of various towns on Asankran land, opinion leaders, school children and entire people of Wassa Amenfi Land have welcomed Manu in grandeur at Asankran Breman Durbar.
Mr Alberto Tekyi, former DCE after giving words of encouragement to all students present at the program, extended his good wishes and felicitations to Manu and added that in the future Wassa land will see more people at a higher height and occupy big positions in Ghana and across the world.
