ARMED MEN PREVENTED A DEAD BODY FROM BEING BURIED AT ATWIMA AKYEREMADE IN THE ASHANTI REGION [VIDEO]

 

On Saturday morning last week, in the early hours of the day, something unreasonable happened at Akyeremade in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of Ashanti Region.

The unusual action took place at one of the cemeteries in the district.

Kwaku Adusah (the dead) family members were prevented by some armed men, not to burying his dead body in the cemetery.

He was 47 years of age before he died. He stayed at kwanwoma District.
He left behind more than two children of his own.

The armed men went to the cemetery very early in the morning to cover the grave dug to bury him.

They didn’t give any apparent reason for refusing the family members to bury their late brother.

The action taken by the armed men delayed the funeral rites of the late Kweku Adusah.

The family members went to Lodge a formal complaint at Atwima Techiman police station against the armed men for stopping them to bury the dead body.

The police escorted them to the cemetery to drive away the armed men and make sure that the family members would bury the dead body.

The altercation which led to delaying the burying of the dead body affected the commencement of his burial service to take place around 3 pm.
But for the Swift intervention of the police Kweku Adusah, the dead body wouldn’t have been buried.

The family members suspected the harassment they went through as machinations of someone in the chief palace to be the brain behind the unfortunate incident that happened at the cemetery.

According to Abusua Opanin Wofa Koofie who was once a sub-chief and a family member of the late Kweku Adusah, he lamented that this unfortunate incident have never happened in their district before; he has lived in the district over decades, this is the first of it kind.

He stated that after the police intervention, for ensuring the family members to bury their dead bodies, nothing bad has happened to any of them.

Everything has turned to become peaceful and no misunderstanding and fighting has ensued between them and anyone.

Also, Nobody has come to attack or threaten them.
