Stephen Adjei, a six-year-old boy drowned in a river called Torya at Fahoboyesu near Bonsu Nkwanta Juaboso district (Western North) yesterday 28th October 2021.
Per the report, the boy went out with Badu his neighbour to buy fish of which they had to cross the river built with a tree bridge which slipped them into the river.
Badu managed to come out of the river leaving the boy to drown. After returning, he did not inform anybody of the incident till he was questioned and arrested to provide the whereabouts of the boy when he declared the boy had drowned.
Bonsu Nkwanta police visited the scene and brought out the dead body of a six-year-old boy with the help of Okyeame of Bonzain traditional council Nana Kwesi who poured libation before the body was found.
Mr Williams Kofi Adjei, father of the deceased narrated to Nokware FM’s news reporter, Sikaba Baboura that he believe Badu killed his son that’s why he did not report the incident immediately.
Police are still investigating the case whilst the body has been conveyed to Juaboso district mortuary.
