Assin South: Farmer Shot Dead Over Land Dispute

Information gathered from soireenews indicates that a 54-year old farmer by name of Kofi Asare has allegedly been murdered over a land dispute at Nnuanua Fante in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

The deceased was shot below his abdomen on his farm.

The suspect (Joshua Baidoo) as indicated by soireenews had earlier threatened to kill him.

The incident is said to have occurred on Thursday, 22 July 2021 when the deceased went to work on his cocoa farm. The alleged suspect confronted him with a heated argument, and in the process, he shot him below his abdomen.

An eyewitness heard the gunshot and rushed to the scene and found the farmer in a pool of blood.
