The MCE for Wassa Amenfi West, Hon. George Agyiri and The Wassa Amenfi West Security Taskforce today, Monday, 7th June 2021 once again demonstrated their commitment to helping the President sanitize Ghana’s forests reserves and water bodies by embarking on anti- galamsey operations to halt galamsey activities on the Tano River at Attanquaye (a suburb of Wasa Dunkwa).
Just like what happened on the 27th May 2021 at Asankran Moseaso, The Security Task Force once again burnt to ashes 11 illegal Mining Dredging Machines locally known as Totototo machines in today’s operations.
In a response to the call by The MUSEC Task Force on communities along the Tano River to support their efforts as a concerted effort by all stakeholders is the only way to overcome this menace on the 27th May 2021, 7 Volunteer Divers from Asankran Moseaso and 8 from Samreboi joined to support the Security Taskforce in today’s operations.
Till the battle of curbing galamsey activities on the Tano River is won, the Taskforce according to Hon. Agyiri will never rest.
