Galamsey Fight Should Have Started By Arresting And Prosecuting One Galamsey Overlord And An Actual Financier–Okudzeto Ablakwa

The MP for North Tongu constituency, Honourable Okudzeto Ablakwa has come out crystal clear to express his candid opinion about the galamsay fight. According to him, it is strange that in this entire galamsay fight, we have not had one galamsay overlord, one real architect, an actual financier arrested and prosecuted. He further stated that with the kind of sophisticated equipment at play, it’s only a few moneybags that can initiate a galamsay operation.

To him, instead of hurriedly burning excavators, attention should be paid to their unique chassis numbers and readily available technology to track the real McCoys who imported or purchased them. Also, in exchange for their freedom, the small flies arrested at galamsay pits should lead them to their real bosses. Such an offer is irresistible.

Again, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa wants the government to put out a handsome amount of money as a reward for anyone with information which will lead to the arrest of the big men and women behind the illegal activities

He questioned EOCO to begin following the proceeds of this organized crime by lawfully freezing bank accounts and identifying assets of suspected bigwigs linked to galamsay as we take steps to smoke out the shadowy perpetrators-in-chief.
