The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon Henry Quartey together with the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr. Ebenezer Kojo Kum and Council of State Member for Greater Accra, Hon. Enoch Teye Mensah, was honoured an invitation by the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs to be part of their General Meeting. The meeting was held on 12th August, 2021.

The Minister used the opportunity to discuss issues relating to Chieftaincy in the region and appealed to them to resolve all chieftaincy disputes and also to advice culprits who engage in the multiple sale of lands in the Greater Accra Region to desist from such acts.

He also urged them to consider proper land acquisition arrangements with estate developers and institutions for them to help develop their areas of operation by providing schools, health facilities, markets, sports facilities, etc, and be able to secure scholarships for the indigens, as part of their cooperate social responsibilities.

Hon Henry Quartey spoke on the need for them to provide a parcel of land measuring not less than 30 acres to be used for the construction of befitting secretariat and offices, banquet hall, Ga-Dangme Arts & Culture Centre, durbar ground, court house, health post; and chalets for the Traditional Councils, the President & Vice of the Regional House of Chiefs, and the Ga Mantse.
