19th September 2021 was all about culture and tourism in the various regions. Tourism is a key economic driver in Ghana which generates foreign exchange earnings, creates jobs and wealth as well as stimulates other sectors of the economy.
Despite the tension, suspense and anxiety that surrounded the semi-final stage of GMB 2021, the remaining 7 contestants stormed the stage and gave a thrilling and infectious performance.
Each contestant had 4 minutes to tell us, intrinsic tourist features in their region. A question was selected randomly for each contestant to answer after their presentations.
Ashanti Region’s Sarfoa was first on stage and she introduced to us the land that is the cultural heartbeat of the country; the Ashanti region-the food, tourism and beautiful people. She answered a question on women’s advocacy.
Wedaga took us on a journey to the Upper East region and told us about the culture and interesting tourist sites in her region.

2. The most eloquent: Wedaga, Upper East Region.
3. Star performer: Wedaga, Upper East Region.
This had never happened in the history of this year’s edition of GMB! Wining both Most Eloquent And star Performer together!
Sadly, 19th September 2021 was the end of the journey for the Central region’s Kwansema.
