I joined many party faithful as well as the generality of Ghanaians today, to mourn Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka Sir John at where has now become a historic town in the geography lexicon of our country, Sakra Won.
If there’s one person, who has won the admiration of people across the political aisle in the history of our polity as a country, you cannot count one, two, three people, without Sir John’s name featuring.
His witty jokes on otherwise, very tensed and contentious issues, brought calm and tranquillity to the very charged political atmosphere.
Sir John is a shining example to many, that, politics is only a battle of ideas and not a battle of muscles and fisticuffs. He showed, through his lifestyle, that, there was nothing wrong with making friends with people from different political parties.
The NPP and Ghana would indeed miss your absence, Sir. Your legacies would live on for many years, General.
Fare thee well until the last day!
