Press Release: Probe Into James Town Bullion Van Attack Begins

Constable Emmanuel Osei, a Police Officer with the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit of the Ghana Police Service who was escorting a bullion Van at Adedenpo, a suburb at James Town in Accra was shot dead today by armed robbers.
Ghanaians have been hard-hit by the unfortunate incident.

The Inspector-General of Police(IGP), Mr James Oppong-Boanuh has directed the Director-General Criminal investigation Department to take over the investigation into the attack on a bullion van at Adedenpo, a suburb of James Town in Accra on 14th June 2021, which led to the murder of a police officer.
