VIDEO: Assembly Members, NPP Youth Invoke Curses On Wontumi, Minister And DCE Nominee

 

Enraged Assembly Members and some New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth in Sekyere Kumawu in the Ashanti Region have invoked curses on the Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Simon Mensah, NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako for imposing President Akufo-Addo’s District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee Samuel Addai Agyekum on them.

There has been serious tension in the Sekyere Kumawu District after President Akufo-Addo’s DCE nominee was rejected twice by the assembly members.

Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo reports that some assembly members including NPP members in the district went to Asuo Abena rival with eggs, schnapps and sheep to invoke curses on Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah, Chairman Wontumi, Constituency Chairman Mr Danso, Constituency Secretary Mr Fredua and DCE nominee Samuel Addai Agyekum.

According to some of the assembly, they accused Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah and Chairman Wontumi including the Constituency Secretary and Chairman of imposing DCE nominee on them.
According to aggrieved assembly members “there have been several attempts by Ashanti Regional Minister and Chairman Wontumi to intimidate and force them to endorse Samuel Addai Agyekum as DCE for the district”

“Asuo Abena(river god) should deal with anyone who will attempt to intimidate or force us to endorse Samuel Addai Agyekum”
