[Videos] Assin South: 16 Disenfranchised Assemblymembers Invoke Curses on DCE, Regional Minister, Coordinating Director…

16 Assemblymembers have invoked curses on newly elected DCE, Coordinating Director, Regional Minister, Police, Soldiers, for disenfranchisement.

After failing to obtain the required two-thirds of the total vote cast, the Assin South DCE election was postponed to be held today 7th October 2021, at 9:30 at Assin Darmang Pentecost Church; however, the venue and time were changed without notifying some particular Assemblymembers. This is according to some aggrieved Assemblymembers who spoke with Aduanaba Kofi Essien Rich FM.

In the end, 16 Assembly members were not allowed to vote. The few Assemblymembers who voted have confirmed Mrs Felicia Amissah Ntrakwa as the new DCE for Assin South with 100%.

The disenfranchised assembly members say police and soldiers prevented them from entering the election room.

With this, they have invoked curses with 1 crate of eggs, Sheep, 5 Schnapps on Central Regional Minister, Ms Marygold Assan, Central Regional NPP, Chairman, Mr Robert Kutin, the Electoral Commission, the police and the soldiers for masterminding the act. Jonathan Owusu the Assemblymember for Assin Nsuta Electoral spoke on behalf of the aggrieved Assemblymembers.

Meanwhile, the Presiding Member of the Assin South District Assembly said they notified all the Assemblymembers of the changes in time and venue of the election but the 16 Assemblymembers were late that was why they prevented them from voting.
