WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING
BY NANA ADU ROCKSON
He swims in hate as my star keeps shining
Shining thousand miles brighter than the sun
So he works without rest
Tiredness trembles before him
At night,he vigils to ensure I die
But I’m always on high
For I see better, the darkness he creates for me
He murders my people in open secrets
In disguise,he flies to me to console my heart
When he’s the reason my whole being is torn apart
He laughs with me in my presence
But maligns me at my back
His pretence is like gangrene
So hidden during the day
Like a hawk,he hunts me
He mingles with me and shows me love
He cares– my assurance for giving him accommodation
But he takes away my hard-earned assets
I am the laziest being the earth has ever birthed– he utters
When he sees me tomorrow.
He’s nothing but a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
